I have been a partner at Rain at 100 west 82nd street for the last 13 years. When we first opened in 1995, we were the cutting edge of Asian Restaurants on the Upper West Side. New York Magazine gave us a rave review and it off to the races. We were the busiest restaurant for years, averaging over 300 people, 7 days per week. As the years moved along, business began to slow down and eventually we needed to make a business decision. The time has come........We will be closing  Rain at the end of June. It is bittersweet. On one hand, we have had an amazing run and on the other hand it is almost like losing a family member.
