What do you do when the economy is wallowing in self pity?You go out and eat an amazing meal.My wife and I went to Convivio in Tudor City on Monday night and man, can Michael White cook!First of all, I have been living in New York for over 20 years and have never been to Tudor City. It is a tiny Gem on the East Side, almost fairy tail like.The restaurant is in an old co- op and has a nice feel to it, small bar and big dining room.The service was stellar, the olive bread divine and the food was off the charts.We had an octopus salad and mushroom salad that I am still dreaming of, fantastic pasta and great arancini.It was a three star restaurant without the pretension.I would go back in a minute……Say hello to the owner, Jane Epstein, when you are there.www.convivionyc.com45 Tudor City PlaceNY NY 10017212.599.5045 They are open on Thanksgiving too!
