Dear Friends,
I hope you are all enjoying the beautiful fall weather. It's a beautiful season. When I'm not working for DE, I foster rescued dogs for a wonderful organization called Posh Pets Rescue. The organization is having its very first fundraiser, Posh Pets Rescue Howlidays Festival and Fundraiser. During the upcoming holidays, please find it in your heart to give to the welfare of animals with no home of their own. The fundraiser event information is as follows: When: Saturday, December 6th, 1-5pmWhere: NY Dog Spa and Hotel, 32 West 25th Street (6th and Broadway)Why: Join us for holiday cheer, food, drinks and learn about Posh Pets Rescue; this is a casual, pet-friendly event; goody bags will be handed out and items will be raffled. Paul and Carolyn Zweben have graciously offered food from their restaurants (BLT Prime, Calle Ocho and Bar Bao). Justin Horkheimer donated his time to design our very first pamphlets. No cover, but a donation will be greatly appreciated. Posh Pets Rescue is a 100% volunteer, non-profit group that rescues dogs and cats from city kill shelters, providing them foster homes like mine, until we find them loving and permanent homes of their own. The president, Linda Vetrano, founded the organization three years ago, although she has been rescuing on her own for almost twenty years. She and the forty foster parents don't have an office or facility, but still find ways to help these scared, lonely and homeless animals. 100% of the donations go directly toward desperately needed medical care, such as surgeries for illnesses and injuries, spaying, neutering, other medical expenses, and behavioral rehabilitation, as most of the animals were neglected, abandoned, abused or surrendered without sufficient care. The money won't even go toward the fosters' expenses, as we are all happy to provide our own food, dog and cat beds, leashes, etc., as if the animals were ours. So, your donation goes for the dog's much more critical needs, thus allowing us to rescue even more animals, as we are constantly working on a very tight budget. If you cannot attend the fundraiser and wish to make a tax-deductible, please write a check to Posh Pets Rescue and send to our volunteer president and founder, Linda Vetrano: Linda Vetrano340 East 93rd Street, Suite 10ENew York, NY 10128 Any monetary contribution, no matter how big or how small, is beyond significant and greatly appreciated by Posh Pets Rescue.
All of our funding comes from animal lovers like you and other foundations. We are also partners with the Mayor's Alliance for NYC Animals, and are a 501(c)3, not-for-profit organization.
I hope this email finds you well and you could consider helping. I and Posh Pets Rescue would be so thankful.
