About Last Night – You Always Want to Make Your Chef Happy!
Last night was an incredible evening. We hosted an event at our $10,000,000 listing at 73 Bleecker Street, and it was simply spectacular!
So many that have touched my life helped to make it a very special event.
Tourneau was a partner for the event and brought over $2,000,000 worth of watches. (I was in watch heaven), and brought some of their best clients to share the evening.
Avenue Magazine also partnered with us to showcase the listing and brought some of their top clients.
The pièce de résistance was having my chef, David Burke, show up and feed all of our guest.
I knew that there was a massive article about The River Café coming out today in the NY Times, and still he came. The article is an absolute must-read.
Chef Burke holds a special place in my life. I worked at The Café in the late ’80s as one of David Burke’s Sous Chefs. Working with David helped mold me into the man that I am today.
It was the most incredible cooking, learning, competitive, testosterone-filled experience of my life. The experience taught me focus, creativity, precision, drive, passion, collaboration, comradery and competition. All of those skills are used every day in my real estate career!
There were days at the River Café that I wanted to stuff David through the meat grinder, but I would not change my experience for the world. I would have worked for free. Oh wait, I practically did!
David’s whimsical food has only gotten better with time, and it was a joy to have him at the event.
David, thank you for being my Chef! I’m always trying to make my chef happy!
And let’s not leave off, that our amazing son, Parker Yale Zweben, turned 1 yesterday!
