There is such a welcoming energy about this small Village Restaurant that it just magically draws you in. Of course it is close to some of my favorite condos in NYC, including 2 Cornelia Street and 59 West 12th street (one of my favorite Bing & Bing buildings) ……..A bunch of celebs live at 59 West 12th, but of course I won’t tell you who they are....
The outdoor space is lovely- but I believe they only serve until the sun goes down outside.
Last night we tried the Wild Boar Pate with mustard, Baccala Mantecato (olive oil whipped warm house cured salt cod), Aspragi con Uova Sode (Asparagus with boiled egg and Olive Oil) ,Barbabietola (Beets and Hazelnuts baked in Parchment paper) and Pesto Di Parma (Crostini with Proscuitto, sage and parmesan).
The best thing on the menu was the Spuntature alla Biere (pork ribs braised in Rye Ale and Mustard!!!)
The waiters are all have that slightly hipster Euro look and they treated us very well. Solid Pinot Grigio and we were done.
Get to the Village and check it out, maybe you will even see Mickey?
