Help Fight Hunger in New York City!
On May 12, please donate what you would normally spend on lunch to City Harvest and help feed children who may face hunger when the school lunches they depend on go away for the summer.
Please join your fellow coworkers on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 and donate your lunch money to Skip Lunch Fight Hunger. In 2009 more than $400,000 was raised, enough to help feed over 22,000 kids and their families for an entire summer.
$10 can help feed 7 children for a week.
$20 can help feed 3 children for a month.
$40 can help feed 2 children for the entire summer.
Skip Lunch Fight Hunger is a city-wide initiative that asks individuals to donate what they would normally spend on lunch to help feed New York City's hungry children and their families. City Harvest’s partner agencies are reporting an average increase of 10% in the demand for emergency food since just last year, and more food is needed.
