What a week we had and it was time to have that ever-recurring conversation/ argument about what we should eat and where we should go. Usually Mrs. Z and I are walking to catch a cab on 91^st st and West End Ave, right by one of our favorite condos, 640 WEA!

The conversation quickly gets heated, as it is my responsibility for the destination and ressie! Sorry, I have been selling real estate all week!

I decided to hit Casellula Cheese and Wine Café at 401 West 52^nd st (212.247.8137)

I have heard a lot of good things about the wine and cheese joint, but as we were driving down West End Avenue, the darn TV screen in the cab kept repeating the same commercial:

Welcome to Del Frisco’s commercial- I swear it must have repeated 9X and finally I said, honey, we are going to Del Frisco’s!

The place is huge and is bustling with B&T, suits and us.

We decided to eat upstairs at the bar and had a lovely time!

We had a bottle of Sancerre, the Fried oysters were fantastic, the  Maque Corn was creamy, sweet and spicy, sliders were good but over cooked, and my big ass burger was raw <so I had it cooked a touch more>.

Service is solid and we even ran into a dear old friend, Chris Gunn, who worked for us for years at Rain, Main Street and Calle Ocho and now is a server at Welcome to Del Frisco’s!!!!
